2011年7月21日にスイスのジュネーブで設立された財団「日本の子供たち」の支援を受け、東北のこどもたちを対象にした芸術教育支援活動として京都芸術大学が開始したプロジェクトです。2023年度からは対象を全国のこどもたちに広げ、国内外のいろいろな芸術にまつわるさまざまな人たちによる、新しい遊びや学びの実験をしながら、こどもたちが自分の生きたい未来のパズルをつくる。ゆくゆくは、のびのびと生きられる環境とその根底となる哲学の創造へシフトチェンジしていきます。
The "Art Village for Children" is a project started by Kyoto University of Art to support children from 2014. The project is subsidized by the Fondation Enfants du Japon*, Switzerland, with the aim to help children grow and to take the initiative in reconstruction of the Tohoku region. The project will be expanded to include children from all over Japan from 2023.
People engaged in various arts visit this village not only from Japan but from all over the world. Through new plays and learning experiments with children, we have looked back on civilization up to this point. We aim to create an environment where children can live freely and easily and to produce a philosophy for its sustainable development.
